Week 2

This week was full of a lot of information.  We learned about different concepts in marketing.  The most important thing I got out of it is its important to meet and exceed customers expectations in order to have a successful business.  Companies that treat their employees better are more likely to have a more successful business.  We also discussed the importance of blogging.  I currently have a blog about my family and now about marketing.  I love blogging.  I don't even know if people really look at it (well, my family and close friends do), but it's fun to journal my life and my daughter as she grows.  Twitter is also a great tool in business.  I use Twitter for personal entertainment and had never really thought of it as a business tool, but apparently it can be a great tool!

Today was my first day in Marketing.  I am excited to take marketing because of the opportunities I have to help my brother Matt in his new businesses.   I am doing administrative work now, but would like to expand my duties in his businesses.  Today was an overview of the course and what is expected of us.  I think its going to be interesting.  It will be hard because of the large class.  We will have to opportunity to use social networking sites, which I am already a member of in this class.  Should be interesting!
